Bound with the world = No revival

I would like to say with this post that I personally, feel I must have personal revival in my life. I do not understand how one could call themselves a Christian that does not desire that. It would be like a man claiming to love a girl, but stating that he doesn’t want to get any closer to her, or spend more time with her. This doesn’t make any sense at all. If you claim you love God, then you would want to be as close to him as you can get. Hence, you want personal revival. So that’s what this post is about. Falling in love with Jesus, and being really alive in Him, because I love Him.In the message “where has thy strength gone samson” Bro Branham stated the following:

“How can we have a revival as long as the church is bound with the world?”

In the message “Decieved church by the world” Bro Branham said:

“So revival in our day? How can we have it when the regular revival Giver is bound by the world? God won’t come in where the world is; you can just depend on that. You associate with the world, then it’s–it’s all of it. When you let the world creep in, you go to acting like the world, then you are finished. But when you’ll cut loose every fetter from the world and come to God, God will use you until you go to flirting again.”

Of course, it is the Scripture itself that states:

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ” (I John 2:15)

We all know this. This is basic stuff. Worldly = no revival. With that being said…

Adam Sandler is hindering our personal revival. Nicholas Cage doesn’t help you get closer to Jesus nor does learning “how to lose a guy in 10 days.” Smallville isn’t helping matters either. Why? They are worldly.

Bro Branham said that “worldlyism is creeping amongst you” (A decieved church by the world)

So I don’t like that. I don’t want the worldism. It hinders my revival. It keeps me from the one I love. I don’t like things that keep me from my Love and I don’t care if it’s “not that bad”. It’s worldly, and keeping me from my love.Forgive me if I pointed out things that I personally feel are worldly. I’ve seen these DVDs sitting on too many of our bookshelves. In the above quote Bro Branham said

“God won’t come in where the world is; you can just depend on that.” Now I don’t think any of us can say that Adam Sandler is NOT worldly. Do we want God in our home? He wont come in with Adam Sandler around.

See there’s this enemy we have called the devil, and he’s got it in his mind to keep us away from our Love (Jesus). Satan is jealous of God. He wants our love. We don’t want to give it to him tho, we want to give our love to Jesus. We want to be near our Jesus, and we want Him to be near us.

I want us all to experience this kind of love with Jesus. Adam Sandler who?? Give me Jesus.A little chorus I learned once:’

Falling in love with Jesus,
Falling in love with Jesus,
Falling in love with Jesus,
is the best thing I’ve ever done.

(better than Adam Sandler, Nick Cage, Smallville, or losing guys in 10 days.)

Please forgive me if this post hurts, it isn’t intended to. I meant to just be real plain about something I think grips too many of us. I want us all to be in love with Jesus.God Bless,

-Bro Trevor

P.S. This isn’t about being legalistic with regards to watching movies. Watch all the movies you want to watch if that’s what you love. I personally feel loving Jesus is the best thing I’ve ever done, and I plan on continuing to keep loving Him and forsaking the world.
