Days without number.

Stop a moment and think, have you thought on Jesus today. Have you considered how in love you are with Him? How great He is…how happy you are to be His? Yes, you’ve done it now that you have read this…but how about before? How about yesterday? Last week? Do days where you don’t have church differ significantly from days when you are in church? Do we have to “turn on” our “worship switch”, or is it always on?

Jeremiah wrote in his day:

JEREMIAH 2:32
32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Are we not His bride to be? Is there a day in the engagement period of a bride and a groom where they do not sigh with love for each other? Thinking on each other, telling each other of their love? Are you this kind of bride to be with Jesus? Have there been “days without number” that you haven’t thought upon your love for the Bridegroom? Now, I don’t propose that you start doing this out of duty, for who wants to be married to someone who loves out of duty? Rather we want to be loved by someone who is so in love they can’t help it.

Moses told the people in his day:

DEUTERONOMY 6:5 – 8
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

First off, we love the Lord with all our heart. Then we keep His words in our heart. Doesn’t an engaged person always dwell upon words of love from their fiancee? And think of them when they wake up, when they go to sleep, and everywhere in between? They can’t help but think of these things, for they are so in love!

Does our love for the Lord naturally bring us to think on Him daily, all day, everyday? Or are there days without number that we have forgotten Him?

Bro Branham said:

“That’s how it is with Christ, when a man is born of the Spirit of God. Not because he shouted, spoke in tongues, or some emotion; but in his heart, love come in and taken the place of the world. I tell you, he loves Him. He walks by Him, every day.” (Hebrews chpt 6)
