My soul thirsts for God

PSALM 42:1
1 ¶ To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

Bro Branham said “this must have been a time of despair when David wrote this”.I think I’ve been in this position before. I think verse 3 is very striking. I don’t know who “they” is…but I can’t believe I’m the only one the devil tries to tell that there is no God, (ie “where is thy God”, “prove Him to me”) etc…

I thought it comforting that David went through the same type of thing.

My soul also thirsts for more of God…this is the cry on every true Christians heart I believe. Give me more of the One I love. Let me know Him better, let me commune closer with Him.

We get so caught up in our 5 senses that our 6th sense many times just doesn’t seem as real. I want to strengthen my 6th sense… If you don’t use your eyes much, I’m sure they’d get weak. If you stop up your ears or nose, they may not be as keen later…this is much the same as our Faith. When we don’t use it…it gets weak.

  1. Amen Brother Trevor!

Our 6th sense seems so sickly sometimes. I’ve been thinking a lot about “the body of Christ” the last few days. Bro Branham said it was “the sickest body” he knew of.

We’re so torn apart and one member fighting another. How can the body function if it’s being torn apart from the inside?

Bro Branham also says it’s not “the robin that pecks the apple that hurts it; it’s the worm at the core”…

I hope that faith (that sixth sense) can rise up and overcome the pressures of this Laodicean age and bring us all together in perfect love to have rapturing faith.

And how does faith come? “…by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. “

God bless you my brothers! I trust you’ve had a blessed day and that you enjoy these quotes I found earlier on “the Body of Christ”.

“I want to get so close to Him ’til it’s no big change – on that day that Jesus calls my name”

But since you have included me in your rank, and I am trying my best to stand mutually between the different denominations, and saying, “We are brethren…” I–I love all the denominations. And I’m trying to stand in the gap like that and say, “We are brethren together.” And I believe that, if God will let me to have something to do with uniting the body of Christ… I think that’s the sickest body that I know of. But the greatest Divine healing that needs to be done tonight, is the body of Christ be healed into one person and may… And what a marvelous time to do it right now, at Azusa Street rally, where we can all become one again. Jesus prayed that we might be one. And I am so happy to see that coming to pass.

I think the sickest body I know of is the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s needing healing. And it takes conventions like this where men of different denominations set together as brothers. That’s what does the healing. The great ransomed Church of God should be one heart and one accord. God will live in it.
